“Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life;”
(John 6:68)

Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jona! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” (Matthew 16:16-18)

Peter: Cornerstone of Catholicism – From the Lectio Series by Dr. Tim Gray

7:10-08:45 pm Thursday evenings

The character of St. Peter is both inspiring and confounding to many of us. He is stubborn, impulsive, bold, approachable, a man of doubt, but full of faith.  Jesus calls Peter, who immediately follows him.  He transforms from a simple fisherman, to a disciple of Christ, to the spiritual father of Christ’s Church.  In this ten-session study of Peter, we will learn how Peter reacts to and interacts with the Jesus.  Peter’s life opens a window into his relationship with Christ and invite us to understand our call of discipleship and our relationship with the Lord.
