Missionaries of Charity Soup Kitchen St. Andrew Apostle Parish/School supports the Missionaries of Charity Soup Kitchen, founded by St. Mother Theresa. St. Andrew’s serves meals at the Soup Kitchen in DC the first Saturday of each month. We provide an entire meal that consists of entrée, sides, dessert, rolls, water and sandwiches to go. This meal serves 60-80 people. We also can bring 3 families to the kitchen to serve. If you would like to contribute food donations or serve in some capacity, please email Rosario Onyekwere at [email protected].
Our Lady asked at Fatima that on five consecutive Saturdays we go to confession (8 days before or after), receive Holy Communion, say five decades of the rosary, and keep her company for 15 minutes while meditating on the 15 decades of the rosary, all offered in reparation to her Immaculate Heart. She promised the graces necessary for salvation for those who do this. This devotion will be offered every first Saturday with the rosary beginning at 8:30am and is sponsored by the Women’s Ministry for the parish.
Sisters in Christ meetings are opportunities for the women of the parish to gather with Father Jack on the first Saturday of each month when we will pray together and share reflections on the weekly Gospel readings and how they relate to our own lives. All are welcome to come and join as you are able! We will meet in the multipurpose room from 9:45-10:30 am on the first Saturday of the month.

The Sacrament of Confession will be available.
For God wants to heal you through the powerful sacrament of the Eucharist. It is His gift to the Church.
What Makes the Healing Mass Unique?
The theme of the entire mass is healing, from the celebrant to the musicians to the participants.
At this Mass people will pray for individual needs.
Examples of prayer might be a physical, spiritual or emotional healing, a relationship problem or help to forgive. God is doing the healing. The celebrant is the instrument that the Lord is using to provide a prayerful environment for Him to work.
