We all know of people whose lives inspire us through their courage, generosity, imagination, or brilliance. People who encourage us to live better, more fulfilled lives. Over Lent this year we shall tell you a little about the lives of over 40 people, some canonized saints, others renowned for their lives of love and public service. Saints are not perfect people, but they do have aspects of their lives that stand out and are worthy of emulation.
Each day of Lent the Jesuits of Scotland offer: • Some information about one of the "Lives to inspire" • A reading from Scripture • A picture to ponder • Music to inspire (on the web and App) • A short reflection
Join us daily online https://www.onlineprayer.net/saints/ and join the SAA parish online group weekly (Thurs eve,8-9 pm, 3/2-3/30) to share your exploration and prayer and if need be get help with the different ways of praying the materials. These online meetings are often helpful by allowing you to hear how the spirit has moved in others which may reinforce or encourage you to pay attention to what has happened in you. You can also deepen your understanding of the transformative power of Ignatius, by sharing the fruits of your prayer and your own faith experiences in this weekly group. Those who participated in these calls in past years said that being able to share their prayer experiences made a big difference in benefitting from the retreat.
