The mission of The Women’s Group is the spiritual formation of women by fostering in them a greater desire to know, love, and serve God and His Church. As a community of women rooted in our Catholic faith, we offer opportunities to deepen our relationship with God, develop relationships with other women in order to support our spiritual growth, and manifest our love for God by serving His people.
Our Women’s Day of Reflection is an all-day retreat with a different topic of focus each year. The day includes Mass, Talks, Adoration, and Healing Prayers. It’s an opportunity to grow in faith and fellowship with other women.
Our recent Women’s Day of Reflection was held on Saturday, January 16, 2016. The theme was, “We Have Found Mercy,” and our guest speaker was Kathleen Beckman, L.H.S..
Recordings of the talks are now available <here>.
Our Communion Breakfasts are a time for women to gather after the Saturday morning Mass and share a meal with one another in a spirit of community. Guest speakers will attend and share their thoughts and experiences that provide insights for our spiritual journey.
Father Greg Shaffer’s recorded talk from our September 2012 Communion Breakfast, entitled, “Re-proposing Christ,” is available here.
Father James M. Stack’s recorded talk from our April 2013 Communion Breakfast, entitled, “Gifts of the Holy Spirit and Releasing those Gifts,” is available here.
Our monthly Women’s Night of Reflection offers all women the opportunity to establish a stronger relationship with Christ through an evening of prayer, fellowship, and reflection. The evening begins with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and a meditation talk given by a priest, followed by silent prayer and Adoration. The Sacrament of Confession is offered throughout the evening, and Prayers of Healing may be offered during Adoration. The night concludes with Benediction.
