RCIA

Encountering Christ through His Church

Are you or a friend interested in the Catholic Church? If you know someone unbaptized or baptized in a non-Catholic Christian tradition, the RCIA team would like to encourage you to join the Catholic Church and/or learn more about why we worship God the way we do. If you were baptized Catholic and have not yet received all the sacraments of initiation, First Holy communion, or Confirmation, you can complete any remaining formation that you might need and arrange to receive these grace-filled sacraments through our parish’s RCIA program.

What is RCIA?

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is a journey of faith:

~      through the initial stages of asking and seeking,

~      through beginning involvement with faithful Catholics,

~      through hearing the Gospel proclaimed

~      through faithful reflection and prayer on the Word of God,

~      through study and discussions about Catholic teachings and way of life,

~      through doubts and hesitations,

~      through a growing desire to serve and love others,

~      through an encounter with the Living God in His Church and people

~      through discernment of God’s call to each human life,

~      through the steps of commitment,

~      through the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist)
