Men’s Group

“God has assigned to every man the dignity of every woman”
– Pope John Paul II

The mission of our Saturday morning Men’s Group at St. Andrew Apostle is to meet men where they are in their journey of faith and to foster in them a deeper desire to understand how a devotion to serve God and your fellow man can be fulfilled not only in Church, but in the home and in your vocation.

If you feel the Lord is calling you grow in your faith and to be an authentic man rooted in the love of the Father, join us Saturday mornings between 7:30 and 8:45 in the multipurpose room. We start with coffee and donuts, followed by prayer, a short reflection by Fr. Dan, and discussion of the Sunday readings. The meeting wraps up in time for 9 a.m. Mass (confession is available after Mass). All men seeking the Truth are invited to attend.

The Men’s Group meets periodically for cookouts and steak dinners, as well as excursions and volunteer activities.

Men’s Night of Reflection

Men’s Night of Reflection offers you the opportunity to establish a stronger relationship with Christ through an hour of prayer, adoration, and reflection. The evening begins with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, a talk given by Fr. Dan or a visiting priest, followed by silent prayer and Adoration. The Sacrament of Confession is offered throughout the evening concluding with Benediction.

Special Prayer Request (UPDATE):
Last week, I asked you to please keep Charlie Burnham and his wife Julia in your prayers, as they underwent kidney transplant surgery. Charlie was the donor, Julia was the recipient of his kidney.
Recovery will take some time but the kidney came to life immediately. Great news.
(Keeping this next one for a while to remind people that we have Wednesday adoration. I believe all the time slots are covered, but stop in to pray if you can.)

In a world where there is so much noise, so much bewilderment, there is a need for silent adoration of Jesus concealed in the Host. Be assiduous in the prayer of adoration and teach it to the faithful. It is a source of comfort and light, particularly to those who are suffering.       — Pope Benedict XVI – March 2, 2006

Dear Friends in Christ,

You are receiving this message to request your prayerful consideration to commit to spend one hour on Wednesdays in Adoration in the St. Andrew’s Rectory Chapel. Thank you to all who responded to the previous request.

We will begin Wednesday Adoration from 9:15 AM – 9:00 PM on Wednesday, November 1, All Saints’ Day.  While we have received commitments for some of the hours, we are in need of additional commitments to ensure that Our Lord will not be left alone.

 Our Needs:

·        Minimum of 3 adorers per hour – 9:15 AM until 9:00 PM

·        We also need Substitute Adorers that can be called as needed.

Please help to spread the word about Wednesday Adoration.

 Thank you.

 Blessings and Peace,
