Bible Study

“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night..” (Psalm 1:1-2)

Prayer – Finding Intimacy with God – Tim Gray

7:10-08:45 pm Thursday evenings, Facilitators: Ken White

Lectio is an approach to prayer in which one reflects upon Scripture, with the goal of opening your heart and mind to God’s word.  Lectio is a reflective moment in which we pray to and listen to God, respond in conversation, experience his presence, and increase our relationship with our Father.

“The Church in America should give high priority to prayerful reflection upon the Sacred Scripture by all the faithful. This Bible reading, accompanied by prayer, is known in the tradition of the Church by the name Lectio Divina, a practice that should be encouraged among all Christians.” (John Paul II)
