Were you baptized Catholic but do not come or seldom come to Church anymore?
We recognize that you are considering a significant step on your spiritual journey. Some see this as a journey back to their spiritual home; others are looking for reconciliation with God and the Church. Whatever your reason for being away, we have missed you and celebrate your desire to take another look.
LANDINGS is an 8-week program that offers you a “safe place to land,” to be listened to, a place for understanding and healing, a place to ask questions, to discern a place in the Church, and to find a way home. In a small group setting, people are able to share past and present doubts and difficulties, be reintroduced to the love of Christ, and explore returning to the practice of the sacraments and greater involvement in the life of the parish.
During the LANDINGS program, a small group of active Catholics, some of whom may also have been away and returned, meets with a small group of inactive or returning Catholics to share and explore their faith together in an open, respectful, confidential, and nonjudgmental manner. With 8-10 participants in each session, it models a small parish faith community that is inclusive and supportive, and recognizes with honesty the issues Catholics face.
When we meet
LANDINGS groups meet one night a week for 8 weeks in one of the parish meeting rooms. We end the program with a celebratory dinner and Mass. We will start new programs in the spring and fall, whenever we have three or more participants. If you are interested in exploring LANDINGS then please contact us. We would love to hear from you.
We are pleased to be able to offer our LANDINGS program in both English and Spanish.
